Shadows

On April 12, 2001, host Art Bell on Coast To Coast a.m. interviewed Native American Elder Thunder Strikes (Harley SwiftDeer Reagan). This was the time shadow people and similar paranormal events were talked about at length and during the show listeners were encouraged to submit drawings of shadow people that they have seen themselves. 

One of the most common ghost sightings along with orbs are shadow people. Walking down an empty street alone or investigating an old abandoned building or other such event creates panic and excitement. According to a study made by the brain mind institute of Switzerland, The experience of a shadow person is created by the left temporoparietal junction of the brain. Psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia and paranoia also stimulate this section of the brain. 

sometimes however the recording and documentation of shadow people leave the scientific community flustered. 

A shadow person, also known as a shadow figure is the perception of a patch a shadow being humanoid in figure and moving around. Some believe that this is the presence of a spirit or other entity. A number of religions and beliefs systems describe shadowy spiritual beings as shades, ghosts of the underworld… So that's like being dead while being dead. 

In 2014, a shadowy figure was captured on a security camera at an Espanola police station. The figure went through a secure gate and vanished just before exiting the other side of the complex gate. According to the police, There have been no deaths on the property and no previous burial grounds in the vicinity. They do say however that unsolved murders have happened in that area. What's fascinating is that this event has taken place all over the country. Reputable sources such as police and government buildings have reported such sightings since the days of Abraham Lincoln. 

In Clovis New Mexico, a family was having dinner. This is a normal thing for them to do but this night was different. A security camera went off and the husband went to check what was going on. While looking back through the footage, he saw a ghostly figure standing outside their home. According to the wife you can see the figure 100% and you can see arms and legs moving. 

Then in 2017 a bright round object is recorded by a surveillance camera outside of the Santa Fe Courthouse. A team of investigators headed by Benjamin Radford, the editor of the skeptical inquirer science magazine, conducted a series of tests to debunk this video. What they thought was that it was most likely a cottonwood seed or a spider but when they tested they found that the glowing object did not resemble what they tried to place in front of the camera. 

However when they tested using bugs, they found that the ghost was eerily similar to a bug crawling across the camera. (We'll go into horrifying bug stories in another article!) 

shadow people are again one of the most documented paranormal experiences outside of orbs. To this day investigators and skeptics argue whether or not they are in fact paranormal and if they are, are they evil or passive? well more evidence piles up, and believe me it does, the truth may be closer to being discovered than we realize. 

remember, if you are wanting to go on a ghost hunt, be respectful of the area around you. Don't trespass and be mindful of your surroundings. As I said once in a previous article, the Pokémon GO warning still stands true. Watch where you're going! Also remember to bring extra batteries because sometimes the paranormal likes to drain your energy sources.
